John Messina

John Messina is a seasoned professional in the pharmaceutical industry with extensive experience in medical affairs and clinical development. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of US Medical Affairs at Lundbeck since November 2024, John previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Clinical Research and Medical Affairs at Optinose from August 2010 to November 2024, where John established and managed the Medical Affairs Organization and led the Clinical Development Group. Earlier roles include Vice President of Clinical Development at Optinose, where John successfully directed two clinical programs resulting in NDA approvals for Migraine and Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps, and leadership positions at Cephalon, Purdue Pharma, Novartis, and Sandoz. John earned a PharmD degree in Pharmacy from Purdue University between 1989 and 1995.
