Marie Castor

Marie Castor is a seasoned professional in environmental strategy and waste management, currently serving as Miljöstrateg at Lunds kommun since March 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Projektledare at VA SYD from May 2017 to February 2023, focusing on future waste management solutions in urban environments, and as a Miljö/avfallskonsult at SWECO from April 2011 to May 2017, dealing with urban planning related to waste and water. Earlier, as Utvecklingsingenjör Avfall at VA SYD from February 2006 to April 2011, Castor led projects on food waste sorting and the implementation of new waste collection technologies. Educational qualifications include dual Civilingenjörsexamen in Environmental Engineering from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University and Ekosystemteknik from Lunds tekniska högskola, obtained between 2000 and 2005.
