Doug Evans is the President and CEO of Lungpacer Medical. Doug has over 25 years of experience in the medical device industry, including roles at Vesper Medical, Inc., WhiteSwell, and Intact Vascular.
Doug began their career at Vesper Medical, Inc. in October 2016 as a Board Observer. Vesper was acquired by Royal Philips in December 2021. The Vesper DUO Venous Stent System is designed to address the multiple anatomical challenges of the deep venous system for the broad range of patients with Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI). The VIVID Clinical Trial is currently recruiting adult patients that have CVI and are eligible for a venous stent in their iliac or common femoral veins.
In July 2013, Doug joined Intact Vascular as a Board Member. Intact Vascular was acquired by Royal Philips for $360M in Sep 2020. Founded in 2011, Intact Vascular created a family of minimally invasive peripheral vascular products, including the first FDA-approved BTK scaffold, which ultimately demonstrated best in class patency and limb salvage data thereby creating a new standard of care. The Tack-It Endovascular System is designed to optimize peripheral balloon angioplasty results in the treatment of peripheral artery disease, offering physicians a new treatment option for treating peripheral artery disease.
Doug Evans earned their BS in Engineering Science with Honors in Bioengineering from Penn State University. Doug then went on to complete their Masters in Electrical Engineering and Photonics at the University of Pennsylvania. Finally, they received their Masters in Business Management from the Penn State Smeal MBA Program. Doug is also certified as a Professional Engineer (PE) from the National Society of Professional Engineers and as a GE Edison Engineer from GE Healthcare.
