Leanna Bennett

Leanna Bennett is an experienced events management professional with a strong background in nonprofit organizations and hospitality. Currently serving as Development Manager at the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. since June 2021, Leanna previously held the position of Events Manager at the Melanoma Research Foundation from May 2019 to June 2021, where responsibilities included managing logistics for multiple large-scale events and securing necessary venue and vendor details. Additional experience includes roles as Events Coordinator and Events Assistant at Humentum, and Student Supervisor at Aramark, where Leanna trained and managed student employees in dining services. Earlier experience includes an events internship at Friends of the National Zoo and event staff work at Ridgewells Catering during the 2014 Men's US Open Golf Tournament. Leanna holds a degree in Hospitality Management with a minor in Business Administration from James Madison University.
