Fatema Zanzi

Fatema Zanzi is the SVP, Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary at Lurie Children's Hospital. Fatema has also worked as a Partner and Office Partner for Chicago at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP from August 2018 to January 2020. Prior to that, they were a Partner at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP from September 2006 to August 2018, where they advised on medical staff issues, including medical staff governance, peer review matters, and fair hearings and litigation resulting from such matters. Fatema also advised health care providers who have been investigated by the Department of Justice and HHS-OIG investigation under the False Claims Act for Medicare and Medicaid regulatory matters. From January 2004 to December 2004, they worked as a Research Assistant in the Office of Civil Rights at the US Department of Health and Human Services.

After completing their undergraduate degree at Northwestern University, Fatema Zanzi attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where they earned their Juris Doctor. Her educational career has focused on health law, and they have practiced in this field for many years.
