Chief Information Officer & Associate Director For Program Ministries at Lutheran Bible Translators

Paul Federwitz has a strong background in information technology and management roles. Paul currently serves as the Chief Information Officer and Associate Director for Program Ministries at Lutheran Bible Translators, where they oversee the use of IT strategy for the organization. In the past, they worked as an IT Manager at the Ghana Institute of Linguistics, Literacy, and Bible Translation, where they led the IT department and built the capacity of the national staff. Prior to that, they gained experience as a Computer Support team leader at Concordia University Chicago and as a Quality Assurance professional at Micro J Systems.

Paul Federwitz has a diverse education history with a focus on management information systems, applied linguistics, and computer science and communication. Paul obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Management Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University in 2010-2011. Prior to that, they earned a Certificate in Applied Linguistics from the Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics in 2005. Paul'sundergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Computer Science and Communication from Concordia University Chicago, which they completed in 1996-2000.

In addition to their formal education, Paul has obtained several certifications. In June 2016, they completed the "Introduction to Financial Accounting" course and received a certificate from Coursera Course Certificates. Paul also holds certifications in "Metadata: Organizing and Discovering Information" (obtained in September 2014) and "Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems" (obtained in March 2014), both from Coursera. Furthermore, Paul acquired the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in October 2019 from the Project Management Institute.
