Alfredo Soto has a diverse work experience in the field of psychiatry and mental health. Alfredo started their career as a consulting telepsychiatrist at LocumTenens.com in 2014. Alfredo then held various consulting and medical director roles at organizations such as Tillamook Family Counseling Center, Kairos NW Residential facilities, and Yamhill County Youth and Family Services. In 2015, they became the Medical Director at Washington County, where they provided supervision to Children's Wraparound services and AMHI adult programs. In the same year, they also took on the role of Medical Director of Behavioral Health at Clackamas County. In 2016, they became the Medical supervisor to the Children's Wraparound Program at Multnomah County Health Department. From 2002 to 2022, Alfredo Soto served as the Medical Director at Albertina Kerr. Most recently, they have joined Lutheran Community Services Northwest as the Medical Director since December 2020. Throughout their career, Alfredo Soto has demonstrated a focus on providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supervision to mental health programs.

Alfredo Soto has an extensive education history. Alfredo obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from Goucher College, graduating in 1991. Alfredo then attended Ponce School of Medicine from 1991 to 1993, earning a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in the field of Medicine. After that, they enrolled at Virginia Commonwealth University from 1993 to 1995, completing a residency in Anatomic pathology, while also obtaining their M.D. degree. Alfredo furthered their medical education with a Psychiatry Residency Program at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences from 1995 to 1996. Alfredo then pursued a Psychiatry Residency Program at The George Washington University - School of Medicine from 1996 to 1999. Lastly, from 1999 to 2001, they attended OHSU, where they participated in a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency Program.
