David P. Novak

David Novak is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in gift planning and advancement, currently serving as Vice President of Advancement at Lutheran Social Services of Illinois since August 2015. Previously, Novak was the Director of Gift Planning at Valparaiso University and held the role of Interim President at the ELCA Foundation, where responsibilities included directing major gift planning and managing a significant team. Novak started their career at Lutheran Social Services of Illinois as Director of Planned Giving and Executive Director of The Cornerstone Foundation, overseeing statewide development efforts. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Illinois Chicago.
