David Fuerst has extensive work experience in the nonprofit sector. David began their career as President of Lutheran Planned Giving Services in 2000 and concurrently served as Regional Gift Planner at ELCA Foundation until 2007. David then joined Tabitha Health Care Services as Vice President/Foundation from 2007 to 2009. Following that, they joined Lutheran World Relief as Associate Vice President for External Relations and Engagement in 2009, a role they currently hold. In 2020, they also took on the position of Associate Vice President for External Relations and Engagement at Corus International.
David Fuerst has a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration and Social Service Professions from Bellevue University. David also obtained another Bachelor's degree in Human and Social Service Management from the same institution.
