Yorlenis (Poli) Proenza is an experienced professional in employment services with a strong background in assisting newcomers and immigrants in Canada. Currently serving as a Supervisor and Employment Advisor at Lutherwood since January 2017, responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, developing employment action plans, and facilitating job search workshops for internationally trained professionals. Prior to this role, Poli was the Volunteer Development Coordinator at Immigrant Services Guelph-Wellington from September 2014 to December 2016, where duties involved creating pre-employment plans, coordinating volunteer management, and conducting cultural diversity training. Previous experience includes serving as a Settlement Counsellor at the same organization from 2011 to 2014, focusing on assessing needs and providing resources for successful immigrant integration. Educational credentials encompass a Bachelor of Arts in Languages from the University of Holguín and ongoing studies toward a Graduate Certificate in Career Development from Conestoga College.
