Leon Walega

Leon Walega, CIA, CFE, CRMA, currently serves as the Senior Manager of Internal Audit at Lutron Electronics, where responsibilities include leading the development and execution of the annual audit plan and collaborating with IT for SOC 2 audit preparations. Previous experience includes holding prominent positions such as Director of Internal Audit and Chief Audit Executive at Shift and CSS Industries, where Walega established audit functions, developed compliance strategies, and managed fraud departments. Additional roles at Frontier Communications, Benco Dental, and Cinram International involved oversight of SOX and operational audits, risk assessments, and management of audit teams. Walega began the career as a Staff Auditor and Staff Accountant, with a foundational education in Accounting from Marywood University.
