Merrick Aurora

Merrick Aurora is currently the Director of Marketing at Lutz. Prior to that, they were the Donor Relations Specialist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from August 2010 to May 2014. There, they were responsible for hosting and contributing to the coordination of over 30 post-game and pre-game sporting events for elite financial donors. They also designed and proofread tickets, brochures, invites, and signage for athletic events using InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator to enhance each event’s success.

In addition, they have experience with creating and updating detailed maps of large venues including Memorial Stadium, Pinnacle Bank Arena, and Bob Devaney Sports Center for use internally and externally. They also designed signs, lanyards, luggage tags, stickers, and rosters for the 2012 Suite Trip which included over 100 of Husker Athletics’ top donors. Merrick was also responsible for clearly informing and educating over 500 people on the complex ticket process for our venues. Furthermore, they organized and documented over 500 detailed season ticket requests for all sports through our client database to ensure maximization of attendance to each sport. Lastly, they addressed donors’ needs and concerns through effective communication over the phone and in person. They also trained incoming employees on the processes and operating systems in the Huskers Athletic Fund which included customer service, mail, voicemail, incoming donations, thank-you letters, event hospitality, and use of a large database.

Merrick Aurora's educational career includes a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Advertising/Public Relations, as well as a high school diploma from Fremont Senior High School. Merrick also has certification from HubSpot in Inbound and Inbound Certified.

Their manager is Mark Duren, Managing Shareholder. They are on a team with Tyler Bartruff - Tax & Consulting Shareholder, Kelly Martinson - Tax Shareholder, and Adam Jacobitz - Tax & Audit Shareholder.
