Jayme Ellis has held a variety of roles since 2014. Jayme began their career as a Frontliner for Greenpeace, where they raised funds for the organization. In the same year, they became the Queensland Director of Oaktree, Australia's largest youth-run organization fighting poverty. In 2016, they took on the role of International Refugee and Migration Legal Trainee for the Refugee and Immigration Legal Service, where they provided free legal advice and assistance to disadvantaged people. In 2017, they became the Outreach Coordinator for Coffee Kids, a nonprofit that empowers young coffee farmers to create thriving businesses. From 2018 to 2021, they held three positions at Sucafina Specialty, including Green Coffee Marketing Officer, Marketing & Communications Officer, and Sales, Marketing & QA Assistant. Most recently, in 2023, they became the Community and Program Manager for LUÜNA, where they help supply responsibly sourced, plastic-free, hard PLA free, home compostable and/or recyclable truly sustainable packaging solutions with eco-ink branding available.
Jayme Ellis completed their secondary education at The Glennie School, Toowoomba from 2003 to 2009. Jayme then attended Emmanuel College, University of Queensland from 2011 to 2013. Jayme subsequently completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Bachelor of Media and Communications at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 2012 to 2016. In 2016, they obtained a Diploma of Legal Practice from The College of Law Australia.
