Joseph Hlady has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Joseph is the CEO and Co-Founder of Lux Modus, a company specializing in low-cost 3D map production and geospatial anchor points for infrastructure digital twins. Joseph also founded The Aventine Group of Companies, which operates in the IT/IS, geomatics, and corporate services sectors, with a focus on the energy and EPC industries. Joseph has also served as the President and Founder of Infrastructure Mapping and Autonomy, a geomatics company that was acquired by Lux Modus in 2021. Additionally, they were the Principal Consultant and Founder of Aventine Consulting, an IT company providing services to the energy industry. Joseph has also held roles as the VP Geomatics at OYLY, a consultancy firm, and as an Advisor at Civil Maps, an AI and cognition company. Prior to these ventures, they served as a Pipeline Geomatics Advisor at SNC-Lavalin Engineers & Constructors and as the President of Capti Consulting, a geospatial information consulting firm. Joseph's career also includes 16 years of service in the Canadian Forces, where they held various roles in the Communications Branch. Joseph also worked as the Manager of Information Services Business Solutions at Husky Energy.
Joseph Hlady completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from the University of Alberta between 1994 and 1998. Joseph then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Geography from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, which they completed between 1999 and 2001. Later, Joseph attended Queen's University from 2004 to 2005, where they earned their Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Corporate Strategy.
