Amiraj Dhawan

Amiraj Dhawan has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Amiraj is currently serving as the CTO & Founder of Luxe Software, a position they have held since 2023. Before that, they worked at DoorDash from 2019 to 2023, initially as a Senior Software Engineer and then promoted to Staff Software Engineer. During their time at DoorDash, they led the Order Platform team and was responsible for orchestrating multiple services for order checkout, providing order data for financial reporting, and handling various backend functions.

Prior to DoorDash, Amiraj worked at Yelp from 2016 to 2019. Amiraj first served as a Software Engineer in Stream Processing, where they designed and developed a Spark-based framework for big data processing in real-time streaming and batch mode. Amiraj also built a Spark stream processing system for processing ads events, producing ad stats, and improving the reliability of nightly batch pipelines responsible for billing.

Amiraj's professional journey started at e-Yantra, IIT-B in 2014 as a Sr. Project Technical Assistant. There, they developed web portals for online robotics competitions and implemented performance improvements using memory caching, database tuning, and Ajax requests. Amiraj then joined Tata Consultancy Services as an Assistant Systems Engineer, where they developed a financial transaction platform for Vodafone Mpesa Project India from scratch.
