Nate Herndon

Nate Herndon is an experienced manufacturing engineer currently working at Luxium Solutions since April 2023, focusing on product lifecycle management, component design, BOM management, quoting, and design for manufacturability. Previously, Nate served as a CAD Design Project Manager for the United States Luge Association, where freelance work involved optimizing sled component designs using FEA simulation in SolidWorks. At Hypertherm, Nate held roles as Machine Operator 1 and 2, as well as CAD Designer, contributing to PLM implementation and collaborating with design engineering teams. Nate's early experience includes positions as a Machinist and Machine Shop TA at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, where responsibilities included teaching, training, and various hands-on projects. Nate holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology, with additional educational experience at Hochschule Anhalt.
