Amanda Murphy is a seasoned music professional with extensive experience in music direction, sound design, and education. Currently serving as the Music Development Coordinator at The Second City since August 2011, Amanda has facilitated the development of over 50 Music Directors across multiple locations, while also creating and delivering inclusive programs. Other prominent roles include Music Director and Choir Director at Lycée, founding member and music director of the Improvised Sondheim Project, and a freelance music director on various projects. Amanda's experience spans various educational institutions, including St. John's Lutheran School, where music education for young students was a focus. Additionally, Amanda holds a Bachelor of Music in voice from Dalhousie University and a Musical Theater certificate from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
