Lauren McDonnell is an experienced English educator, currently serving as the Head of the English Department at Lycée Français de Chicago since July 2014. Prior roles include English Teacher at CICS Northtown Academy and Urban Prep Academies, bringing expertise in general education, honors, and co-taught English classes. Lauren began their teaching career at Lycee Jean-Baptiste Colbert in France, specializing in curriculum development and adult education. In addition to teaching, Lauren has a background in public relations as a Senior Account Executive at GolinHarris, where award-winning campaigns were developed for biotechnology companies. Lauren holds a Master of Science in Secondary Education from Northwestern University and a BA with Distinction in English and French from the University of Michigan.
