Rachel Lieser, Ph.D.

Rachel Lieser, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience. Rachel began their career in 2012 as a Peer Mentor for the Women in Science and Engineering - Iowa State University Chapter. From 2013 to 2014, they held various roles such as Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Iowa State University Chemical Engineering Department, Plant Intern at General Mills, and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the Iowa State University Chemistry Department. In 2014, they were a Process Engineering Intern at LyondellBasell. In 2015, they were a R&D Intern at 3M and a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Delaware. Currently, they are a Scientist I at Lycia Therapeutics.

Rachel Lieser, Ph.D. obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Delaware between 2015 and 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Iowa State University between 2011 and 2015. Rachel also attended Elk River High School between 2007 and 2011.
