Sherman Standberry, CPA

Sherman Standberry, CPA has a wealth of experience in the accounting field. Sherman began their career in 2012 at Southern Company, where they held roles in Southern Power, Internal Auditing, and GPC Financial Accounting & Reporting. In these roles, they were responsible for preparing monthly cash reconciliations, journal entries during month-end close, processing wires and checks with the accounts payable team, assisting with the 10K process at year-end, working on Troutman Sanders project to reclass legal fees, preparing monthly journal entries, quarterly reconciliations, and monitoring the JV log. In 2011, they co-founded LYFE Marketing, a top social media marketing agency recognized by Clutch, UpCity, and Google. In 2017, they co-founded LYFE Accounting, a media & education company that provides financial education products to help individuals and businesses save on taxes and increase wealth. Most recently, in 2022, they became Managing Partner of My CPA Coach, a Tax CPA Firm that helps small business owners reduce their taxes.

Sherman Standberry, CPA holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Marketing from Georgia State University and a Master's Degree in Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University. Sherman obtained their Certified Public Accountant certification from AICPA in January 2019 and their Registered Investment Advisor certification from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) in August 2018.
