Kensen Tan

Kensen Tan is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in analytics and machine learning. Currently employed at Lyft since November 2022, Kensen improved the marketplace balance model for more efficient ride pricing. Previously, at Facebook, Kensen contributed to the development of a private machine learning experimentation platform, significantly impacting ad ranking model experiments and increasing experiment throughput. At Cover, Kensen developed machine learning models for auto insurance, achieving substantial growth in written premiums. Academic pursuits include a Bachelor of Arts in Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley, and ongoing Master of Science degrees in Computer Science and Analytics from Georgia Institute of Technology.
