Laura Pickel

Laura Pickel is an experienced educator and instructional designer with a diverse background in leading driver education at Lyft since June 2019. As a lecturer at Stanford's School of Engineering and d.school, Laura co-taught courses focused on food design, technology, gamification, and behavior change. Previous roles include teaching lead at IDEO U, where Laura facilitated courses on innovation and storytelling, and curriculum designer at SAP, where efforts were made to integrate experiential learning in K-12 education. Laura began her career as a math teacher at CITYterm and has also taught physics for Breakthrough Collaborative. Educational credentials include a B.A. in Mathematics and Psychology from Williams College, a Master's in Learning, Design, and Technology from Stanford University, and an MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology.
