Tony Tsai is a software engineer with extensive experience in machine learning and computer vision, currently working at Lyft since August 2018. At Lyft, Tsai focuses on applying technology to autonomous vehicles, including tasks such as building HD maps and object detection. Prior to this, Tsai worked at Medallia from March 2016 to August 2018, where significant contributions included developing a text sentiment classifier and enhancing a proprietary topic clustering algorithm for multiple languages. An internship at Turn in 2015 involved the development of an internal navigation tool, for which Tsai received the People’s Choice Award at Hack@Turn. Tsai holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University.
