Vanessa Quirk

Vanessa Quirk is a co-host and executive producer of the podcasts Urban Roots, Uncertain Things, and City of the Future, focusing on storytelling that preserves the experiences of marginalized communities. Currently serving as the interim President of Urbanist Media, a non-profit dedicated to elevating underrepresented voices, they have also held various editorial roles, including managing editor at Lyft and editorial manager at Sidewalk Labs. Vanessa's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Arts & Culture Journalism from Columbia University and a degree in English and Music from The George Washington University. Through their work, they emphasize the power of empathetic storytelling to inspire positive change.
