Paulina Tervo

Paulina Tervo is a Finnish filmmaker and content producer. Paulina is the Co-Founder and Chief Content Officer of Lyfta, an online platform for education.

Tervo has worked in the film industry for over 10 years. Paulina got their start as a Content Producer and Film Consultant for the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, where they directed and produced a number of short documentaries, written articles and multimedia projects in Ethiopia, Malawi, India, the Philippines and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. While at the Ministry, Tervo also trained Malawian filmmakers on a 2-year project, helping kick-start the film industry in Malawi. Some of their students went on to direct their own films that have been shown internationally.

In 2008, Tervo co-founded Write This Down Productions, a London-based creative storytelling agency and production studio. At Write This Down, Tervo served as co-founder and director/producer, developing and producing a range of creative documentary, film, multimedia and interactive projects. The company closed down in 2016 to focus on Lyfta.

Tervo's work has been shown all around the world to millions of viewers from cinema screens to mobile devices. Paulina has worked with clients all over the world, producing work in Eritrea, training and mentoring teacher filmmakers, and creating the communication strategy for Finn Church Aid's educational project. Tervo has won awards at many international film festivals.

Paulina Tervo has a Master's Degree in Documentary by practice from Royal Holloway, University of London. Paulina also has a Diploma in International Development from Birkbeck, University of London. Her Bachelor's Degree is in Communications & Cultural Studies from Middlesex University.
