Clint Hoffmann

Director of Agronomy at Lygos

Clint Hoffmann has a diverse background in agronomy and agricultural engineering. Clint began their career in 1987 at USDA-ARS as an Agricultural Engineer, focusing on spray application technology. In 1992, they joined the USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) as a Research Leader, where they spent over 20 years conducting research on spray droplet sizing, movement, remote sensing development, and precision spray applications.

In 2015, Clint became an Adjunct Professor at Texas A&M University, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and South China Agricultural University. In 2018, they took on the role of CEO at Prology Consulting, where they also served as a Senior Consultant until 2020. During this time, they worked on various consulting projects related to agriculture.

In 2018, Clint also served as a Consultant at IVCC (Innovative Vector Control Consortium) until 2020. Then, they joined Corteva Agriscience in 2020 as an Application Engineer, contributing to their agronomy efforts until 2023.

Currently, Clint is the Director of Agronomy at Lygos, where they utilize their extensive experience and expertise in the field.

Clint Hoffmann earned a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering from Texas A&M University, graduating in 1992. Clint then pursued a Master's degree in the same field from the University of Florida, completing their studies in 1994. Following this, Clint obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Agricultural Engineering from Texas A&M University, which they achieved in 1997.
