Sandhya Bohini has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of science and research. Sandhya began their career as a Research Scholar at the University of Hyderabad, where they focused on the development of transgenic peanut plants resistant to fungal pathogens. After completing their Ph.D., Sandhya worked as a Research Scientist at Abbott (PDL BioPharma), where they generated stable mammalian expression cell lines for the production of monoclonal antibodies.
Sandhya then joined Roche as a Research Scientist, where they conducted in vitro assays and experiments to support the selection of lead molecules for liver-targeted IFNa. Sandhya'sresponsibilities included evaluating IFN combinations and assessing their binding selectivity and affinity.
Sandhya later worked as a Regulatory Affairs Consultant (CMC Regulatory HUB Manager) at Genpact Pharmalink, where they provided expertise in regulatory affairs for Pfizer.
At The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, Sandhya served as a Senior Scientist and played a key role in setting up a new flow cytometry lab. Sandhya developed flow cytometry assays to analyze the output product of rare circulating tumor cell isolation equipment and conducted scientific studies to support new innovation programs.
Sandhya then joined Covance (Envigo +++) as a Study Manager in the Biomarker, Bioanalysis, and Clinical Sciences group. In this role, they oversaw validations and sample analysis, ensuring compliance with study protocols and SOPs.
Sandhya also served as the CEO for the Northeast New Jersey location of Little Medical School, where they were responsible for managing the operations and growth of the organization.
Currently, Sandhya holds the position of Director of Analytical Sciences at Lykan Bioscience. In this role, they collaborate with various departments and external clients to plan technology transfer, equipment setup and qualification, method development and validation, and process validation. Sandhya also provides support for troubleshooting, deviation impact assessments, OOS investigations, and CAPA.
Throughout their career, Sandhya has demonstrated expertise in scientific research, analytical techniques, and regulatory compliance. Sandhya has a strong background in developing and implementing innovative solutions in the field of biotechnology.
Sandhya Bohini is a PhD candidate in Biomedical Informatics at Rutgers University. Sandhya previously earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from San Francisco State University. Sandhya is also a PhD candidate in Plant Molecular Biology from the University of Hyderabad. Sandhya has a Mini MBA in Leadership and BioPharma Innovation from Rutgers University's Center for Management Development. Additionally, Sandhya holds a Certificate in Clinical Development and Regulatory Affairs from Mercer County Community College and a Post Graduate Diploma in Bioinformatics from Medwin Hospitals.
