Mark Higgins

Mark Higgins is a seasoned maritime operations professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as General Manager of Operations at Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding since January 2025, Mark previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer at The Steamship Authority, where responsibilities included overseeing operations and promoting sustainable practices. As Director of the Maine State Ferry Service from 2017 to 2023, Mark managed operations and served as a liaison with island municipalities. Earlier career highlights include roles at General Dynamics, Stolt-Nielsen Limited, Edison Chouest Offshore, and Tidewater Marine, focusing on safety, training, and vessel operations. Mark holds a B.S. in Marine Engineering from Maine Maritime Academy, graduated in 1992.
