Ganesh Bhat

Ganesh Bhat has extensive experience in the geological and mining industry. Ganesh currently holds the position of Principal Geologist at Lynas Rare Earths Ltd, where they have been working since 2020. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Resource Geologist at the same company.

Before joining Lynas Rare Earths Ltd, Ganesh worked as a Principal Geologist-Exploration at Neometals Ltd from 2019 to 2020, and as a Principal Geologist-Exploration at Toro Energy from 2018 to 2019.

Ganesh has also held significant roles in the investment sector, working as a Senior Geologist/Investment Adviser at Sentient Asset Management from 2017 to 2018, and as a Senior Geologist/Investment Manager at The Sentient Group from 2013 to 2017. In these roles, they conducted research and technical due diligence for potential investment opportunities in mining and exploration projects worldwide.

Additionally, Ganesh has prior experience as a Senior Mine Resource Geologist/Senior Exploration Geologist at Consolidated Minerals from 2007 to 2013, an Exploration Geologist at Norilsk Nickel in 2006, and an Underground Resource Geologist/Exploration Geologist at Black Swan Nickel-LionOre from 2004 to 2006.

Ganesh began their career as a Grade Control Geologist at MPI Coolgardie Gold Mining Company in 2002, after completing their Master's degree in Environmental Science at the University of Sydney in 2000.

Ganesh Bhat completed their Bachelor's degree in Geology at Calicut University, Kerala, India from 1982 to 1985. Ganesh then pursued a Ph.D and M.Sc. in Geochemistry of Precambrian metamorphic rocks at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from 1985 to 1990. Later, from 2001 to 2002, they obtained a Master of Science - MS in Environmental Science from the University of Sydney.
