Joel Press

Joel Press has extensive experience in educational finance, operations, and legal affairs. Currently serving as the Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Operations, and Information Systems at Lynbrook Union Free School District since July 2023, Joel previously held the position of Assistant Superintendent for Business & Operations at West Hempstead Union Free School District from August 2018 to July 2023. Joel's earlier roles include Assistant Business Administrator at North Babylon Union Free School District and Assistant Superintendent for Business Graduate Intern at Farmingdale Union Free School District. Prior to transitioning to education, Joel had a distinguished legal career with positions such as Director, Counsel, and Director of Business & Legal Affairs at DC Entertainment, and various legal roles in the music industry and entertainment law. Joel earned an M.S. Ed. in School Business from LIU Post, a JD from Boston University School of Law, and a BA in Economics, Philosophy, and English from Stony Brook University.
