Susan Russell P.e., S.e.

Susan Russell, P.E., S.E. has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Susan is currently the Design Director at Lynch Mykins Structural Engineers, where they started in September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at SKA Consulting Engineers, Inc. for 15 years, holding the position of Senior Project Engineer/Assistant Group Manager from June 2007 to August 2022. Before joining SKA Consulting Engineers, Inc., Susan worked at NCDOT as Assistant to the Statewide ITS Operations Engineer from April 2005 to May 2007.

Susan Russell, P.E., S.E. earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics from Campbell University between 2001 and 2004. Susan furthered their education by pursuing a Master of Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering at North Carolina State University from 2004 to 2007.

In terms of certifications, Susan obtained their Professional Engineer license in North Carolina in June 2013. Susan then obtained additional Professional Engineer licenses in Virginia in August 2019 and South Carolina in January 2021. Susan also holds a Structural Engineer certification from Nevada, obtained in August 2016. In January 2017, Susan acquired the ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector certification, although the institution granting the certification is unspecified.
