Renee Haan

I grew up on a dairy farm on the West Badger Road, near Lynden. I graduated from Ebenezer Grade School and Lynden Christian High School. I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a B.A. in Language Arts and received my teaching certificate. After graduation from SPU, I moved to Denver Metro area and spent nine years teaching in small Christian schools there (Center of Hope, Maranatha, and Boulder Christian Schools). During this time I met and married Carl Haan. In 1988, God led us to Lynden and I started teaching at Lynden Christian in the fall of 1988. I have spent most of my teaching career teaching second graders.

Carl and I have three children, Danielle, Kyle and Caleb, all whom have graduated from LCS. We have also joined the “Grandparent Club”.

Lynden Christian has been, and continues to be, a blessing to our family in many ways. God has blessed us with a precious gift in Christian education for our children and a place to serve Him in our work along side many wonderful colleagues. I am so thankful that God led us to this place and look forward to what is ahead for Lynden Christian.
