Senior Associate Engineer at Lyndra Therapeutics

Roman Lovell has a diverse work experience. Roman started their career as a Fitness Center Supervisor at Tufts University in March 2017 and held the role until May 2020. Concurrently, from August 2018 to May 2020, they also worked as a Community Development Assistant at Tufts University.

In December 2018, Roman joined the Kaplan Lab at Tufts University as a Research Assistant, where they collaborated with a team on designing and executing experiments on polymer-based composite materials. Roman's responsibilities included processing and transforming polymers, conducting mechanical testing, and collaborating on analysis. Roman worked in this position until May 2020.

From September 2019 to May 2020, Roman worked on a senior capstone project in the Black Lab at Tufts University. The project aimed to model cardiac ischemia, and Roman's responsibilities included cell culture, cell differentiation, and scaffold characterization.

In December 2020, Roman moved on to Lyndra Therapeutics, where they worked as an R&D Technician until September 2021. In this role, they supported experiments and lab maintenance in the R&D lab. Their skills included media preparation, laser welding, Instron testing, and custom mechanical testing. Roman then transitioned to the role of Associate Engineer at Lyndra Therapeutics in September 2021.

Roman Lovell received a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University, where they attended from 2016 to 2020. In addition, they obtained certifications as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health in February 2018, and completed a course on Minimizing and Identifying Process Safety Hazards from AIChE (American Institute of Chemical Engineers) in April 2020.
