James Alderdice

VP, Asia-Pacific at Lynk Global

James Alderdice has over 20 years of professional experience in the satellite communications industry. James began their career in 1997 at Inmarsat as a Partnership Programme. James then moved to Redwing Satellite Communications in 2002 as a Channel Manager. In 2004, they became an Account and Sales Manager at NewSat. From 2006 to 2009, they were VP, Asia-Pacific and Business Director, Middle East & Africa at EMC (Emerging Markets Communications). During this period, they also held the role of Global Head of Sales and Business Director, Asia Pacific at EMC Satcom Technologies GmbH. In 2014, they were appointed Regional Head of Sales at SpeedCast. In 2016, they took on the role of Consultant at altsen. In 2017, they became Co-founder of ORBjective Space, where they successfully invalidated a passive bistatic radar technique to detect orbital space debris smaller than 10cm at LEO and GEO, and achieved commercial traction with LEO and GEO operators in improving the awareness of the proximity of orbital space debris. Most recently, they have been VP, Asia-Pacific at Lynk since 2018.

James Alderdice attended Sydney Grammar School from 1982 to 1991, where they obtained their HSC. James then went on to the University of Newcastle, where they completed a Bachelor of Business in Marketing from 1992 to 1996. James also holds the CTM certification from Toastmasters International UK & Ireland.
