Phil Miller

Phil Miller currently serves as an HPC Software Architect and Software Engineer IV at Lynker, focusing on developing the model engine and simulation code for NOAA's National Water Model NextGen Framework, aimed at enhancing river-flow and flood forecasting capabilities. Previously, Phil held the position of Principal at Intense Computing, providing consulting on computationally intensive software applications, and served as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Engineer at Charmworks, Inc. An academic background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Harvey Mudd College. Early experiences include work as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois and a Student Intern at Green Hills Software, where porting the Micro-Velosity embedded real-time operating system to the ARC ISA was accomplished. Leadership experience includes serving as East Dorm President at Harvey Mudd College.
