Sara Edwards

Sara Edwards is a Communications Specialist at Lynker, providing strategic communications support for the NOAA Office for Coastal Management since March 2024. Prior to this role, Sara served as a Public Information Officer with the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, where responsibilities included developing a comprehensive communications strategy for a $2.3 billion funding initiative addressing infrastructure and energy challenges in North Carolina from September 2022 to March 2024. Sara also worked as a Science Communication and Outreach Associate at the US Environmental Protection Agency from February 2020 to September 2022, focusing on creating communications materials and executing strategic communication plans. Sara holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies and a Master’s Degree in Media and Communication, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
