Carl Weckenmann

Carl Weckenmann currently serves as the Director of Planning and Development at the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) since July 2025. Prior experience includes roles as AVP and Chief Mobility Officer at the Jacksonville Transportation Authority from December 2024 to July 2025, and Principal at Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates from April 2020 to December 2024. Carl has an extensive background in transit planning, having held positions such as Director of Transit Planning and Senior Manager of System Planning at the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, and Managing Director of Strategic Planning at the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority. Carl’s early career involved positions as Transit System Planner at the Fort Worth Transportation Authority and Planning Manager at the Denton County Transportation Authority, where significant projects and grants management were overseen. Educationally, Carl holds a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Conception Seminary College.
