Joseph Baptist

Joseph Baptist has a diverse background in education spanning multiple roles and institutions. Currently, Joseph serves as a Teacher at Lyon County School District since September 2017, focusing on Middle and High School Social Studies, and has transitioned to a permanent position at Yerington Elementary School. Prior experience includes roles as a Substitute Teacher in California Public Schools, a Middle School Humanities Teacher at Antioch Charter Academy, and various teaching positions in elementary and middle schools with Walnut Creek School District and West Contra Costa Unified School District. Joseph also has extensive experience teaching Social Studies, English Language Arts, and Physical Education across high school and middle school levels. Before entering the education sector, Joseph served in the United States Air Force, holding roles in security forces and combat arms, with earlier military service in the U.S. Army. Joseph holds a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State Teach/CSU Monterey and a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies from Thomas Edison State University.
