Wayne Hawley

Wayne Hawley is an experienced law enforcement professional currently serving as a Sergeant and K9 Handler with the Lyon County Sheriff since August 2008. In addition to patrol duties, Wayne has worked in the Special Investigations Unit as a primary evidence officer and drug recognition expert, contributing to the Street Enforcement Team from May 2020 to February 2023. Prior to this, Wayne served in the US Navy from July 1987 to September 2008 as an Aviation Electrician's Mate Chief, focusing on the maintenance and repair of complex aircraft electrical systems. Wayne holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix and has completed various criminal justice and law enforcement certifications.
