Jared Gurley

Jared Gurley has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of tax law. Jared started their career as a Summer Associate at the IRS, Office of Chief Counsel in 2008. Jared then worked as an Attorney Advisor at the U.S Tax Court from 2009 to 2011, where they prepared opinions and orders for tax cases. In 2011, they joined Porter Hedges LLP as a Tax Associate, focusing on federal income taxation for clients involved in domestic and international business transactions, with a particular emphasis on the energy industry. Since 2015, Jared has been working at LyondellBasell as the Lead Tax Counsel, providing tax planning advice for their worldwide business operations and ensuring tax efficiency in various projects. Jared Gurley has contributed their expertise in tax planning and legal advice to different groups within the company.

Jared Gurley has a diverse education history. Jared obtained a LL.M degree in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 2009 after completing a J.D./B.C.L degree in Law from LSU Law in 2008. Prior to that, Gurley earned a B.B.A degree in Accounting from the University of Houston in 2005. Jared also holds a Texas Law License from the State Bar of Texas.
