John Staebel has a strong professional background with over 25 years of experience in various roles within the chemical and engineering industries. John started their career as a Process Engineer at Jacobs Engineering and Construction, LLC in 1995 before moving to Chevron as an Engineer in 1998. In 2001, they joined Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, where they held various roles until 2012. Staebel then joined LyondellBasell, where they worked as Manager of Supply Optimization and Operations Planning Polymers NA from 2012 to 2015. John then served as Director of Global Business Services from 2015 to 2017 and as Senior Director of M&A Diligence & Implementation from 2017 to 2021. Staebel's most recent roles at LyondellBasell include Senior Director of North America Feedstocks from 2021 to present, Interim Senior Vice President of Global Feedstocks & Energy from 2022 to 2023, and currently as Vice President of Business Development O&P Americas.
John Staebel earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Rice University in 1994, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the same university in 1995. John later pursued a Masters degree in Business Administration at Mays Business School - Texas A&M University from 2006 to 2008.
