Michelle Vassallo

Michelle Vassallo, M.Ed., is a Digital Learning Specialist at LyondellBasell since July 2023, with prior experience as an Art Teacher at Houston ISD from 2021 to July 2023, where recognition as the Best Campus Beginning Teacher of the Year 2021/2022 was achieved. Vassallo has a rich background as a Visual Artist at Chell Vassallo Art Studio from 2013 to 2023, where art collections were developed, commissioned artworks were created, and workshops were taught. Earlier experience includes a role as a Business Developer at Siemens LLC in 2012, focusing on the Chemical/Petrochemical Market, and as a Chemical Engineer at Chemtech from 2003 to 2012, where DCS and SCADA systems were configured. Vassallo began a career as a Researcher at SIQUIM in 2003, specializing in patent databases. The educational background includes a Graduate Certificate in Learning Design and Technology from Harvard Extension School, a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
