Mischa Harmsen

Mischa Harmsen has a diverse work experience spanning from 2003 to 2023. They began their career as a Draftsman/Engineer at Vicoma from 2003 to 2006. From there, they worked as an Engineer at GTI from 2006 to 2010, followed by a role as a Calculator at COFELY GDF-SUEZ in 2010. In 2011, they became an Assistant Projectleader at Sneep Industries BV before transitioning to VPS Project Support as a Work Planner from 2006 to 2011. They then joined STORK as a Chief Office Engineer from 2013 to 2016, and as a QA/QC Manager from 2014 to 2016. After STORK, they worked at VIRO as a Group Lead Plant Design from 2016 to 2018. In the same year, they joined Akzo Nobel Projects & Engineering as a Jr. Project Manager until 2018. Following that, they had various roles at Vopak, starting as a Project Engineer/Manager from 2018 to 2022, then becoming a Cluster Lead Leidingen from 2021 to 2022, and finally a Manager Continuous Improvement from 2022 to 2023. They are currently employed at LyondellBasell as a Project Lead Engineer, starting in October 2023.

Mischa Harmsen completed a Base program at Lepaya from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Technical Business Administration from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, which they attended from 2012 to 2015. Mischa also obtained an MTS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Zadkine, where they studied from 2000 to 2003. Their secondary education was at Einstein Lyceum, where they completed Havo with a focus on Nature, Technologie, and Science from 1994 to 1999.
