Rob Stumpf

Rob Stumpf currently serves as Fire Chief for the Lyons Fire Protection District since February 2023, having previously held the position of Deputy Fire Chief. Prior to this, Rob worked at the Berthoud Fire Protection District from June 2011 to September 2022 as Operations Chief, where responsibilities included managing a 30-member staff within the Operations Division, overseeing a fleet of fire engines, and participating in executive decision-making related to response planning and budgeting. Rob also served as Battalion Chief at the Bloomington Fire Department from April 2002 to May 2011, managing the training division and staff while contributing to budgeting and policy-making efforts. Additionally, Rob was on the Board of Directors for the International Society of Fire Service Instructors from 2008 to 2011 and began their firefighting career as a Firefighter/Engineer from January 1998 to April 2002. Education includes a Bachelor's degree from Indiana University Bloomington and an Executive Fire Officer credential from the National Fire Academy.
