Bob Kocher

Bob Kocher is currently a board member at Lyra Health. Bob has previously served as a senior fellow at The Brookings Institution, a special assistant to the President for Healthcare and Economic Policy at The White House, and a partner at McKinsey & Company.

At The Brookings Institution, Bob worked on bending the cost curve. In their role at The White House, they worked on healthcare economic policy initiatives like the Affordable Care Act and the HITECH Act. Bob also worked on the Let's Move initiative.

At McKinsey & Company, Bob led the McKinsey Global Institute Healthcare team and served payors, providers, public sector, and life sciences clients in many countries.

Bob has dedicated their career to improving healthcare policy and access to care. Bob is an expert on bending the cost curve and has experience working in both the public and private sectors.

Bob Kocher went to the University of Washington for their BA and BS in Political Science and Zoology. After that, they attended The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences for their MD in Medicine. Lastly, they did their Internal Medicine Residency at Harvard Medical School.
