Vern Ritter

Vern Ritter has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Vern began their career in 1983 at GTE - General Telephone and Electronics, where they worked in telephone operations until 1987. Vern then joined the General Telephone Company of Indiana as an Access Accounting Manager, overseeing billing, journalization, and account reconciliation functions. In 1989, they became the Controller at Mark Pi International, a company that develops and licenses Chinese restaurants, where they managed corporate accounting and treasury functions. From 1991 to 1992, they served as the Director of Client Services at Leadley Gunning & Culp International, leading the technical support function for accounting franchises. Vern then transitioned to the role of Controller at Cardinal Apartment Management Group, where they were responsible for financial statement preparation and implemented internal accounting controls. In 1993, they joined RLJ Management Co., Inc as the Vice President, overseeing operational management and financial functions of the company. From 1997 to 2001, they worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership, a non-profit housing developer and training organization. Vern then moved on to TimeSaving Services Inc in 2001 as the Chief Financial and Operations Officer, responsible for project implementation management, strategic direction, and financial areas of the company. Vern joined Capitol Development Group, LLC in 2003 as the Chief Financial Officer, handling all financial transactions, cash management, and financial reporting for the company. Vern currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at Lyrasis, where they have been since 2010.

Vern Ritter obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting from The Ohio State University in the years 1977 to 1981. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Saint Francis University in Fort Wayne from an unspecified start year until 1988.
