Brett Potts

Brett Potts is an accomplished musician and sales representative with a diverse background in the performing arts and insurance. Currently serving as a Regular Chorister at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and a Sales Representative at State Farm®, Brett is licensed in Property, Casualty, Life, and Health. With experience as a Supplementary Chorister at the Lyric Opera of Chicago since 2013, Brett has participated in numerous productions, including roles in Parsifal, Tannhauser, and Turandot, and performed as Jake in Matthew Aucoin's opera Second Nature. Additional roles include Supplementary Chorister at the Grant Park Music Festival, Chorister at Fourth Presbyterian Church, and teaching voice and piano at Arlington School of Music. Previous experience includes working as an Enumerator for the U.S. Census Bureau and holding various roles in opera productions with Nickel City Opera. Brett received the Edwin G. Levy Young Artist Award in 2011 and holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Houghton University.
