Scott Blakesley

Scott Blakesley is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in estate planning, closely held business planning, charitable giving, tax-exempt organizations, and trust and estate administration. Currently serving as a partner at Spencer Fane LLP since March 2009, Scott has also held leadership roles such as Board Member at Lyric Opera of Kansas City and President of the Kansas City Estate Planning Symposium in 2018-2019, where Scott chaired the 2019 symposium. Additionally, Scott serves as an advisor to the Board of Directors at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection Foundation and previously worked as a partner at Blackwell Sanders / Husch Blackwell from 1996 to 2009. Scott holds a JD from the University of Illinois College of Law and a BA in Speech and Political Science from Iowa State University.
