Gael Isaiah Lala-Chávez

Gael Isaiah Lala-Chávez is an accomplished leader in the nonprofit sector with extensive experience in youth development, mental health, and educational programs. Currently serving as the President & CEO of LYRIC: Center for LGBTQQ Youth, Gael directs one of the largest and oldest organizations for LGBTQQ+ youth in the United States, focusing on housing navigation, career development, and advocacy. Prior roles include Executive Director at Challenge Day, overseeing a $2.5 million budget, and Associate Executive Director at YMCA of San Francisco, managing a $6 million budget while serving under-resourced communities. Gael has also held leadership positions in educational institutions, providing support and guidance to economically disadvantaged students. With a Master's degree in Counseling and a Bachelor's degree in Recreation & Leisure from San Francisco State University, Gael's commitment to fostering youth success and inclusion is evident throughout a diverse career dedicated to community service.
