Sarang Jagdale, PhD

Sarang Jagdale, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of supply chain and operations, with a focus on optimization and analytics solutions.

Starting in 1997, they worked as a Section Manager at Bajaj Auto Ltd for three years.

In 2007, they joined IBM Business Consulting Services as a Consultant and later transitioned to the role of Senior Advisory Consultant, where they provided expert advice and guidance to clients in supply chain and operations.

In 2013, they moved to IBM Global Business Services and took on the roles of Managing Consultant and Senior Managing Consultant. Sarang was responsible for delivering optimization and analytics solutions to clients across various industries. From 2018 to 2020, Sarang worked at Opex Analytics as the Principal and Head IDC, where they utilized advanced analytics and software technology to solve business problems.

In 2020, they joined LLamasoft, Inc. as a Regional Vice President, leading the adoption of AI-based decision-making technologies in supply chain and operations. Sarang was involved in solutions delivery, IP development, and research.

In 2021, Sarang joined Coupa Software as a Regional Vice President, and later in the same year, they became self-employed.

Currently, they serve as the Head of Decision Science at Lyric, a company disrupting the supply chain industry with AI technology. In this role, they utilize their expertise in AI and data technologies to enable AI-first decision-making across the enterprise.

Sarang Jagdale, PhD obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, which they attended from 1993 to 1997. Sarang then pursued a Fellow Programme in Management (PhD) with a specialization in Production and Operations Management at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore from 2000 to 2006. Additionally, they hold certifications as a CPIM from the APICS Supply Chain Council and as an IBM Certified Consultant-Leader from IBM Global Business Services, although the exact dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
